This course has been designed for people interested in learning about sustainable changes they can make to their daily eating in order to prevent and manage common disease of inflammation such as heart disease, diabetes, excess weight, and cancer.  The program uses a whole food approach to health and wellness.  This approach encourages whole foods over highly processed foods, packaged foods, pills and powders. 


Recognizing that sustainable dietary behavior changes take time and practice, the course is set up to allow participants to learn new skills each week for five weeks, and includes tips for applying new behaviors into practice. 


The program includes video links and educational handouts.  Participants who purchase this program can also request access to the “Healthie” app.  Healthie is a web-based platform with app used for nutrition counseling services available through Whole Food Is Medicine.  The platform includes health goal tracking plus a chat feature.  Use the chat feature to ask questions about any of the content you have reviewed that you have questions about.  Whether you are in the grocery store, restaurant, or kitchen, you are encouraged to personally message any questions you have about what you have learned and how to apply the information into your daily eating habits.
